Revenue share

Where the planned $NODAL transaction tax would go, what each part is for, and which parts of the design are still open. Nothing here is collected or paid out yet.

Status. The split is Planned. The buyback schedule and burn address are Undecided. No token is deployed, so no tax has been collected, nothing has been bought back and nothing has been burned. The 5% split is funded by the token tax only. A share of product revenue is planned to fund further buybacks and burns; see below. Trace Lab is free and needs no token.

Pays for building and running NODAL: Trace Lab, Privacy CI, the wallet-flow examples, the research track (including privacy-routed RPC), the infrastructure they run on, the people doing the work, and outside engineering review before teams rely on them.

Buyback and burn

Used to buy $NODAL on the open market on a public schedule and send it to a burn address, with every transaction published. It reduces supply. It is not a payment to holders.

Buyback and burn: how it would work

Not automatic. On Pons the creator tax is fixed when the token is created and is paid in full to one creator fee recipient, in the asset the launch is priced in, not in $NODAL. Pons cannot route part of it to a burn. Pons also offers its own optional buyback, but that one locks the bought tokens for five years instead of burning them, so NODAL does not plan to use it. The 2% share is therefore handled by NODAL: the tax arrives in the tax wallet, 40% of it buys $NODAL on a public schedule, and the tokens go to a burn address. Each buyback and burn is published with its transaction link.

  • Tax rate fixed at creation on Pons; the 3% / 2% split is a NODAL commitment, not enforced by the contractPlanned

The schedule and the burn address will be published here before launch. Until then, nothing on this page describes a buyback that has happened.

Revenue stream: buybacks and burns

Revenue stream · buybacks and burnsIn development

NODAL is developing a new revenue stream for the project. Once established, a disclosed share of product revenue is planned to fund further $NODAL buybacks and burns after launch. Details will be announced when finalized.

After launch, NODAL plans to use future product revenue to fund ongoing $NODAL buybacks. Tokens acquired through the planned buyback program are intended to be burned.

This comes on top of the 2% tax share. Both use the same method: buy $NODAL, send it to the burn address, publish the transaction.

None of this is live. No revenue has been produced, nothing has been bought back and nothing has been burned.

Do not mix up the two 5% figures

Dev buy · once, from supply 5% of supply

50,000,000 $NODAL bought by the dev wallet at launch and locked in full. Not part of the tax and not paid out to anyone.

Transaction tax · each taxed trade 5% of the trade

The flow on this page: 3% development, 2% buyback and burn.

Worked example. Taxed trades worth 1,000,000 $NODAL would produce tax worth 50,000 $NODAL: 30,000 for development, 20,000 for buyback and burn. That is arithmetic, not a forecast.

What this is not

No income is promised. Buybacks and burns depend on taxed trading volume, which can be low or zero. A burn reduces supply; it is not a dividend, not a payment to holders and not a share of NODAL’s business. Nothing here is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or an offer to sell anything. Implementation details may change, and the token may not launch. Parameters and launch details: $NODAL token.
